When Warner Bros, The Batman, was released in the UK in 2022 it dominated the U.K. and Ireland box office, debuting at pole position with £13.5 million ($17.8 million), according to numbers released by Comscore. Yes, Batman is VERY popular in the UK In 2018 a study found that Batman was the nation’s all-time favorite superhero, However, respondents to a poll thought that Superman would win in a fight. And nearly four in 10 said it was because he is an actual superhero, with 55 per cent saying he is super strong, even despite Batman's popularity. So it came down to man of super powers over a hero who has none. However, Batman continues to reign supreme in films, thank you Warner Bros., with The Dark Knight winning the vote for the best superhero film, followed by The Dark Knight Rises and Batman (1989). Since the study was done in 2018, one wonders how the newest film, The Batman in 2022, in the Batman franchise would rate.
